When we didn’t believe the EU could get much more petty, it has decided to reduce Nigel Farage’s MEP salary by a HALF.
An investigation by EU parliamentary authorities concluded Mr Nigel Farage had diverted EU funds towards national political activities.
Mr Farage will be made to pay back £35,000 to Brussels, by having half of his £7,535-a-month MEP salary taken away from him between January and October.
A spokesman for the European Freedom and Direct Democracy group made the following statement: “There is a vindictive campaign by the European Parliament of selective persecution of Eurosceptic MEPs, parties and groups.
“This allegation is all part of their politically motivated assault.”
