T Newman Ltd

The directors of T Newman Ltd have been very impressed by the community spirit they have witnessed at several residential sites across the West Midlands that cater for elderly residents. The company directors wanted to bring some festive cheer to residents and decided to donate £2,000 to help fund a Christmas meal across four locations in the West Midlands: MacGregor Tithe, Robertson Knoll, Colbourne Court and Sandham Grange.

The firm visited residents this week to present them with the donations for their Christmas get-togethers.

Director of New Customers and Specialist Housing for Platform Housing Group, Sarah Sutton said: “This very generous donation will really help our customers in these schemes and lift their spirits; they are looking forward to their Christmas parties. It is great to work with contractors that recognise the sense of neighbourly support when visiting our schemes and want to help.”

Managing Director of T Newman Ltd, Trevor Newman said “There is a real sense of neighborly support at these independent living sites, and we believe it is making a real difference to residents’ lives. Having spoken with residents and care staff we know how difficult the last few years have been as a result of the pandemic and so we wanted to reach out and give them a boost for Christmas.”

Emma Poole, Director said “This builds on our commitment to donate to local groups where we have witnessed a real sense of community. This year we have also donated £200 to the Blood Bikers, £200 to the Air Ambulance and will be donating £500 to the Oxygen Centre in Wolverhampton.”

Paul Brothwood, Chief Operating Officer stated “It was lovely to meet with the residents and hear what they have planned with the donations. The £500 for each site has enabled them to plan celebrations as well as gifts for those residents that may not be well enough to attend.”
